I haven’t stayed at none of those resorts but I have had heard some awful things about the Grand Floridian. I’ve heard that they dont have the most pleasant castmembers.
go to the rate and review section and there are hundreds reviews on all the Disney resorts by people that stay there.
My only advice about the value resorts: Do not stay in the All Stars if you can get into the Pop Century. The 3 All Stars all share buses and it’s really, really frustrating. They’re also not as new/nice as Pop CEntury

If you can afford it, I would not stay at the All-Stars. It’s OK, but I would prefer spending more for a nicer place, simply for the noise level! I would choose a room with a kitchen, personally, because when I go on vacation, I get a few groceries and eat breakfast in my room – and save a bundle! That being said, my preference would be the Animal Kingdom Lodge, simply because I think it would be neat to stay there, and I have not got to yet.

Ok, assuming you can afford any of these options, it kinda depends on how you want to sleep. If the adult needs to be alone in a bed, then the family suites will fit you best. The adult gets the king private bedroom, and everybody else sleeps in the living room on the foldout beds.
The one bedroom villa is more luxurious, but fitting three of you into the living room is more of a pain.
AKL forces you all into one room and two beds. Caribbean Beach is the same, and not as luxurious. Grand Floridian will let the adult sleep in a single bed (you get two queens and a daybed) but why have just one room?
The kitchen is not needed–if this is your first trip. It’s great for future trips when you don’t have quite so much to see. But given what you are paying you are better off to spend your time seeing the attractions as opposed to cooking. You can order a fridge for the rooms without kitchens. The one bedrooms and family suites all come with fridges.
By the way–I would not suggest ANY of your options as best. If you want a villa, a one-bedroom at the Wilderness Lodge is your best bet. It is much lovelier and closer to the Magic Kingdom. If you want a regular hotel room with 3 beds, the Polynesian is best–more appealing than the Grand Floridian, and the single most convenient Disney World resort.

Hope this helps and have a great trip! Dave

I’ve heard nothing positive about the Grand Floridian. Apparently all the walls are paper thin so you can hear your 1. Neighbors kids yelling or screaming all night 2. Your neighbors screaming at each other all night or 3. Your neighbors doing things you don’t want your kids to hear. I’ve stayed at the All Star a couple of times – it’s nice, but nothing fancy. Disney’s version of Super 8. Motel style only disneyfied. It’s a great option if you are looking to save a few bucks but want the extra space a family suite would offer. Not a great option if you are looking for something a little more fancy.
I’ve rented one of the family cabins at the Wilderness Lodge – loved it – wish I could afford it ever year.
But of your options – I like Animal Kindgom lodge best – haven’t been there, but what a great view you’d have

GO Beach and Yacht….here’s why…
GREAT POOLS….best on WDW property
Walking distance to EPCOT, BOARDWALK and boaats to Hollywood Studios…with hopper you can walk through EPCOT to get to Monorail to Magic Kingdom.
Get at least a fridge and microwave and coffee maker…then you can have soem things on hand for siesta time, etc…
Trust me, you’ll rave about the pools and the access…

I have found that Carribean Beach is best. You take the monorail in the morning, when it starts to get busy you go back to your hotel and return at around 3 or 4, then take the monorail to Epcot at night to watch the fire works.
But the best Disney Hotel truely is outside and not owned by Disney. Disney Hotels are expensive when it comes to eating and your pretty far away from anti-disney civilisation.
Try Lake BuenaVista Resort and Spa, it is truley amazing and its right by its own strip mall with discount designer stores and everything. Its 5 minutes from Disney and 15 from Universal. Trust me, its money well spent. You can see the fire works from your window and your room is pretty much a condo with one glamorus master suite and a two bed room room. The couch turns into a bed, there’s a kitchen and 3 TVS aswell as 2 bathrooms.
